Senior Health & Benefits Consultant

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Senior Health & Benefits Consultant to join its Health & Benefits team within the People and Investments business. Based in San Francisco, this is a hybrid role with at least three days a week in the office. You will support consulting engagements with 2,000+ life employers on their medical, dental, life and disability benefit plans, negotiating with carriers and vendors and acting as strategic account manager and often relationship manager.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex client engagements, including service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewal, business placement, benchmarking and other studies.
• Develop benefits design and renewal strategies and tools to solve complex client issues.
• Define the full scope of services and the roles and responsibilities within the client team.
• Communicate Marsh's position on industry trends to clients and hold them accountable for revenue and profitability.
• Monitor projects for scope, budget, timeliness and client satisfaction.
• Set strategic direction, create demand for new products and services, and manage new business with sales channel partners.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree.
• At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing business solutions for complex healthcare benefits challenges.
• Client-facing experience in a consulting environment.
• Renowned expertise and reputation in the health and benefits field.
• Life and Health license (a strong advantage).

• Sales and marketing skills, with proven ability to lead large, complex projects.
• Analytical and mathematical skills, strategic planning, communication and listening.

What we offer

• Base salary of $88,000 to $176,000, depending on experience, skills, location and other factors, plus possible performance-based incentives.
