Senior Harness Manufacturing Engineer (EWIS)

About the role

Reliable Robotics is developing safety‑critical automated aviation systems. As a Senior Harness Manufacturing Engineer you will design, improve and scale the wire‑harness manufacturing and installation processes that support our aircraft prototypes and future production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage supplier relationships to meet manufacturing, testing, quality and reliability requirements.
• Create and execute DFx processes, conduct design reviews for cost, producibility and compliance.
• Define supplier qualification procedures and maintain quality control plans, including functional testing.
• Write and maintain technical work instructions for harness fabrication, testing and vehicle‑level installation.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve non‑conformances and upgrade manufacturing equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace or systems engineering.
• 7+ years experience fabricating wire harnesses and 4+ years reviewing technical designs and controlled documentation.
• Proven experience in high‑reliability environments such as aerospace, aviation or defense.

Required skills

• Interpretation of electrical schematics and harness drawings.
• Knowledge of IPC‑A‑620, NASA‑STD‑8739.4 or equivalent wire‑harness quality standards.
• Use of harness design tools (Capital, Zuken) and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, NX).
• Automated test equipment for continuity, HI‑POT and functional validation.
