Senior Handbag and Accessories Designer – Women’s

About the role

Rothy’s is seeking a senior designer specializing in women’s handbags and accessories to join its Product Design team. You will develop new products by collaborating on patterns, colors, and materials, working closely with cross‑functional teams and factories.

Key responsibilities

• Design and assort handbags and accessories in knit and non‑knit materials from concept through production.
• Create, upload, and manage technical packages (tech packs) in the PLM system (Centric).
• Research industry trends to inform color, texture, and detail directions.
• Collaborate with leadership, merchants, and design teams throughout development.
• Communicate with factories on color, texture, and prototype development and resolve technical challenges.
• Review prototypes and pre‑production samples to ensure they meet specifications.
• Develop trims, novelty components, and hardware tech packs, and maintain material, hardware, and trim libraries.

Required skills

• 8+ years of experience in knit color and accessories design.
• Expert proficiency in coloring and developing textures for knit materials.
• Advanced skills in Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Deep understanding of textile color and material development.
• Familiarity with PLM systems, specifically Centric.
