Senior Government Healthcare Financial Consultant

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Senior Government Healthcare Financial Consultant to join its Government Healthcare Consulting team. The role partners with state governments and internal teams to manage the overall service delivery and strategy for financial and consulting support, including reviewing financial reports to understand Medicaid healthcare experience and the financial performance of managed care organizations, and helping government programs become more efficient purchasers of health services.

Key responsibilities

• Work with client and team project managers to define the scope, timelines and deliverables of the project
• Develop and propose essential project documents, including the budget and work plans
• Maintain regular communication with the client to review project status and expectations, and provide expertise to solve potential problems
• Manage the project's scope, budget and timelines
• Lead and partner with a team of analysts, actuaries, consultants and subject matter experts to deliver client results

Required profile

• BA/BS degree
• 10+ years managing and leading teams or projects, consulting or financial analysis
• Ability to lead large teams, projects and initiatives in a dynamic environment
• Strongly preferred: Medicaid program experience
• Strongly preferred: healthcare financial or data analysis experience, including financial modeling or rate setting

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office skills
• Financial analysis and financial modeling (preferred)

What we offer

• Base salary range of $88,000 to $176,000, depending on experience, skills, location and other factors, with possible performance-based incentives
