Senior General Liability/Construction Litigation Associate/Partner

About the role

Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP is seeking a senior attorney to join its General Liability team, handling complex general liability and construction litigation for business owners, landlords, contractors and related clients across the NY Metro area.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute litigation strategy for general liability actions.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court, including trials in the five boroughs.
• Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings and all phases of litigation.
• Interact with medical experts and conduct legal/medical research.
• Collaborate with colleagues and maintain client communication.

Required profile

• Admission to practice in New York.
• Experience in personal injury or comparable litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and resolve problems quickly.
• Proactive, motivated and comfortable with independent client interaction.
