About the role

Offit Kurman is expanding its private client services practice and seeks a mid‑level Estates and Trusts Attorney to join the New York City office. The role offers a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with strong cross‑selling opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft a broad range of estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Manage day‑to‑day estate planning needs for individuals and families, handling both straightforward and moderately complex engagements.
• Maintain client relationships, gather information, and translate client goals into practical estate plans.
• Provide advice to high‑net‑worth clients on advanced strategies such as GRATs, SLATs, and CRATs, and support estate and trust administration.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience practicing trusts and estates law.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• Experience drafting wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and related ancillary documents.

Required skills

• Estate planning document drafting.
• Advanced planning strategies (GRATs, SLATs, CRATs).
