Senior Financial Crimes Investigator (AML)

About the role

AML RightSource, a technology-enabled managed services firm focused on fighting financial crime, is hiring a Senior Financial Crimes Investigator (AML) for a remote position. You will detect suspicious financial activity, ensure regulatory compliance, perform quality control and lead investigations, with the possibility of supervising junior analysts. The role suits candidates living more than 40 miles from the Highland Hills, OH office.

Key responsibilities

• Identify data anomalies and red flags related to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and sanctions violations, and escalate cases for second-level review.
• Verify client identities and the purpose of their relationship with the financial institution in line with Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures.
• Perform quality control tasks and submit written work for review by internal and client quality control teams, adjusting it according to feedback.
• Assist with client communication, analysis of production data and creation of client-specific aids and training materials.
• Support analysts with workflow and administrative tasks and meet all deadlines.
• Comply with federal and state laws, AML requirements and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to investigate suspicious activity, analyze findings and write detailed Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
• Strong knowledge of financial or banking industries and related regulations.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed daily production goals, with strong time management and attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently and collaborating in a team.

• Quick learning of new technologies and processes.

The position is remote, with company-provided virtual training for the first three weeks (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST) and core hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM local time thereafter.
