Senior Financial Analyst – Central Finance

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Central Finance Office on the Coral Gables campus. The analyst will support monthly financial analysis, forecasting, and the annual budgeting process while ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth expenditure analysis to inform executive decision‑making.
• Prepare and coordinate financial analysis projects, including budgets, forecasts, and expense performance reports.
• Perform financial forecasting, month‑end close, and reconciliation of internal accounts.
• Extract data from business applications, analyze at university, division, and department levels, and present findings to senior leadership.
• Assist the Executive Director of Finance with reviewing accounting records and monthly financial packages.
• Lead balance‑sheet segregation projects across multiple university entities to improve financial integrity.
• Create and maintain policies and procedures for assigned financial processes.
