Senior Finance Director

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior Finance Director to join its Commercial Aircraft (CAG) leadership team in Buffalo, NY. Reporting to the Group Vice President – Finance, the role will partner with business units to drive financial performance and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Provide finance business partnership, developing robust financial models to support division strategy and tactical decisions.
• Prepare and present executive financial results to the CAG Executive Team.
• Lead the CAG finance organization, overseeing balance sheet, P&L and cash‑flow responsibilities including close, forecast, budget and expense management.
• Drive sales, gross margin and operating margin forecasting, free cash flow analysis and capital investment planning with ROI assessments.
• Oversee technical accounting, balance‑sheet reconciliations, internal controls and support internal and external audits.
• Manage annual and long‑range budgeting, quarterly forecasting and participate in major proposal activities such as cost analysis, pricing and negotiations.
• Enhance governance to reduce production costs, optimise inventory, net working capital and improve free cash flow.
• Recruit, coach and develop finance team members while championing continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in aerospace or defense.
• 10+ years of experience leading high‑performing finance teams.
• Proven ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and communication skills.
