Senior Finance Analyst

About the role

Acorns is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to support strategic and financial decision‑making across the company. You will work closely with the VP of Accounting, Finance and Treasury and collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, legal, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of Acorns’ product, business model, and financial outlook.
• Provide monthly business‑trend insights to product managers and department leaders.
• Support short‑ and long‑term financial planning, reporting, KPI variance analysis, and strategic initiatives.
• Build and maintain corporate financial models, including annual budgets, forecasts, and consolidated cash‑flow statements.
• Create KPI frameworks, analyze product‑line performance, and aid high‑impact decisions such as go‑to‑market strategy, partnership negotiations, and potential M&A.
• Prepare clear presentations to communicate findings to key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related quantitative field.
• At least two years of experience in financial modeling (e.g., investment banking, private equity, corporate finance).
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and the ability to draw clear conclusions from raw data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team‑player mindset.
• Comfortable working hands‑on in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
