Senior Field Service Technician – Forklifts & Material Handling

About the role

WMH Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to provide advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment across customer sites. You will work independently in a company‑provided service van, mentor junior technicians, and help drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance, safety checks, and inspections to maximize uptime.
• Mentor junior technicians, share best practices, and uphold quality standards.
• Document service reports, work orders, and compliance with OSHA regulations.

Required profile

• 5+ years as a field service technician, heavy equipment mechanic, or forklift technician.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently in the field with a valid driver’s license.
• Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs and work in diverse weather and industrial conditions.

Required skills

• Advanced diagnostics of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems.
• Experience with diagnostic software and digital service platforms.
• Knowledge of OEM and compliance standards for fleet equipment.
