Senior Field Application Engineer

About the role

Bosch is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer to provide technical support and coordination for customers, acting as the first point of contact for product applications and design assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical feedback and solutions using Bosch product training material, application notes, and datasheets.
• Coordinate technical meetings, document customer requirements, and communicate them to internal product management and engineering teams.
• Support customer quality issues during development, assist in pre‑selling activities, and lead technical presentations.
• Manage PPAP coordination, sample warehouse logistics, and ensure customer satisfaction from design‑in through series production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in design or application engineering with semiconductors, MEMS devices, or electronic control modules.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel nationally/internationally and spend two weeks in Germany for training.

Required skills

• Semiconductor and MEMS device expertise.
• Experience with Electronic Control Modules and automotive electronics market.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems, navigation, mobility, ADAS, and safety systems (including airbags).
• Proficiency with electronic engineering tools such as oscilloscopes.
