Senior Engineer – Complex Projects

About the role

Strata‑G is seeking experienced engineers with at least five years of experience to lead complex technical projects supporting critical operations, equipment design, and national security infrastructure in Oak Ridge, TN. The role requires advanced problem‑solving abilities and a strong commitment to regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the design, implementation, testing, and lifecycle validation of complex systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to DOE orders, federal regulations, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary scientists, procurement teams, and federal stakeholders.
• Perform advanced modeling using engineering software to create detailed specifications and interface definitions.
• Investigate technical issues, determine failure mechanisms, and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight.
• Support work planning, project scheduling, and cost estimating initiatives.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain an active DOE Q‑level or DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Minimum five years of engineering experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET‑accredited) or related technical discipline.
• Experience with modern data systems, specialized CAD/modeling tools, or nuclear safety documentation.
