Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

We are building safety‑enhancing technology for aviation and need a senior engineer to lead the development of electrical components and sub‑systems for our airborne and test platforms. You will own designs from circuit‑board level through integrated electro‑mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyze, document, test, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies from PCB to integrated systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing and test engineers as the hardware expert.
• Drive hardware improvements through benchtop, environmental, and on‑aircraft testing and root‑cause investigations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and provide technical leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of full‑lifecycle hardware development in a professional environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Required skills

• Design and simulation of complex, manufacturable PCBs using Altium Designer and SPICE.
• High‑speed digital, mixed‑signal, RF, and power electronics design expertise.
• Proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB for analysis and test scripting.
• Experience with aviation development assurance standards (e.g., RTCA/DO‑254) and rigorous environmental standards.
