About the role
We are seeking a Senior Ecommerce Platform Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure ecommerce solutions. This hands‑on technical leader will guide a team of engineers and collaborate with product, marketing, design, IT, DevOps, and other stakeholders to modernize our platform capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for ecommerce platform capabilities, integrations and supporting services.
- Drive delivery using agile practices and iterative planning.
- Design, develop and maintain backend services, APIs and integrations that power ecommerce experiences.
- Own integrations with commerce platforms, CRM systems, identity providers, marketing platforms and enterprise applications.
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, performance and security for critical transaction flows.
- Monitor platform health, identify improvement opportunities and contribute to architecture and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with DevOps to improve deployment processes and operational excellence.
- Evaluate and implement modern engineering practices, including AI‑assisted development tools.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of technical leadership experience managing engineering teams and complex technology initiatives.
- Strong hands‑on background in backend development, API design and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience supporting large‑scale B2B and B2C ecommerce platforms (catalogs, search, cart, checkout, order processing).
- Ability to work fully remote while aligning with EST business hours and without sponsorship.
