Senior Director, Global Trade Compliance

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior Director to shape and execute its global trade compliance program. Based at the corporate headquarters in East Aurora, NY, you will work in a hybrid setting, partnering with legal, supply‑chain and business teams to protect the company from trade‑related risks while enabling growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define the global trade compliance vision, strategy and operating model aligned with corporate risk tolerance.
• Establish governance structures and enforce consistent policies for imports, exports, sanctions, customs and supply‑chain security across all regions.
• Lead a worldwide team of 35+ professionals, fostering collaboration between domestic and international sites.
• Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies, external auditors and key regulators.
• Drive automation initiatives and implement trade‑focused tools to improve efficiency and integration with business processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; JD, advanced degree or equivalent highly desirable.
• 10+ years of trade compliance experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Proven track record developing creative, effective compliance solutions and managing complex global programs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Willingness to reside in or relocate to the Buffalo, NY area.
