Senior Director, Enterprise AI Adoption & Transformation

About the role

The Senior Director, Enterprise AI Adoption & Transformation will lead company‑wide adoption of generative AI and agentic technologies, driving business value across 3M’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise‑wide adoption strategy for generative AI capabilities.
• Serve as product leader for the AI employee experience, defining roadmap, use‑case prioritization, and value delivery.
• Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, HR and other functions to identify high‑impact AI opportunities and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Lead executive demos, workshops, roadshows and AI showcases to build awareness and demand.
• Build and activate a community of AI champions and power users across the organization.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, data, cloud and compliance teams to ensure secure, scalable deployments.
• Define success metrics, report adoption outcomes and validate realized business benefits.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in technology, digital transformation, product management or enterprise innovation.
• Proven track record moving AI or digital solutions from pilot to production at scale.
• Strong executive communication and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and shaping strategy in a rapidly evolving technology area.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of generative AI concepts: large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation, AI agents, prompt engineering.
• Experience with AWS AI services such as Amazon Quick, Amazon Q, Amazon Bedrock.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Glean, Google Gemini, Salesforce Agentforce, ServiceNow AI.
• Understanding of enterprise applications and data environments: SAP, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Salesforce, cloud data platforms, APIs.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, identity & access management, information governance, privacy and responsible AI.
