About the role
This senior strategic leadership position drives product strategy, commercial execution, and portfolio growth across multiple business units within a specialized scientific and life‑sciences organization. The role sits at the intersection of product management, commercial strategy, and market development, shaping product positioning, pricing, and delivery for global research markets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead overall commercial product strategy across multiple business units, aligning with revenue and growth objectives.
- Develop deep expertise in product portfolios, customer segments, competitive landscape, and scientific market dynamics.
- Identify and execute strategic growth initiatives, including market expansion, product positioning, and portfolio optimization.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Commercial teams to drive integrated go‑to‑market execution.
- Define pricing, discounting, and packaging strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and customer lifetime value.
- Analyze product performance, customer feedback, and market trends to guide data‑driven decisions.
- Engage with sales teams and customers to capture voice‑of‑customer insights and translate them into product improvements.
- Lead and coach a team of Commercial Product Managers and Product Operations staff, fostering strong execution and accountability.
- Support cross‑functional alignment on strategic initiatives, ensuring clear goals and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and industry standards across product and service offerings.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, commercial strategy, or business development.
- At least 2+ years of leadership experience managing product or commercial teams.
- Strong background in life sciences, drug discovery, biotech, or related scientific/research environments.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through product launches, pricing strategy, and portfolio optimization.
