Senior Director, Business Solutions

About the role

The Senior Director, Business Solutions will be a core member of the LA Lakers Global Partnerships team, leading the Business Solutions vertical. This senior role blends creative storytelling, strategic commercial planning, and data‑driven analysis to maximize partnership revenue and fan engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Business Solutions team, setting priorities, mentoring staff, and ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
• Design integrated partnership strategies, commercial packaging, pricing models, and proposal development to win new business.
• Collaborate with Partnership Sales leadership to create client‑centric solutions that align partner objectives with Lakers assets and fan experiences.
• Define the department’s commercial strategy, including sponsorship packaging, inventory optimization, asset valuation, and go‑to‑market approaches.
• Manage CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, KORE), build data sets for reporting, and partner with the BI team for analytics.
• Oversee third‑party research vendors to provide broadcast valuation, consumer market research, sponsor impact measurement, and social media valuation.
• Identify new sponsorship categories, develop scalable sales tools, and drive cross‑functional innovation across Sales, Activation, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in partnership or sponsorship sales and commercial strategy.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights and ROI metrics.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills for ideation and client presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal functions.
