Manager, Consumer Products - Home & Baby

About the role

Mattel is seeking a Manager, Consumer Products to join its Consumer Products organization in El Segundo, CA, at its corporate headquarters. The role supports the growth of the Softlines business through new initiatives and strategic focus areas. It is based at the El Segundo headquarters with in-office presence required four days per week under the company's hybrid work policy, and flexible hours to support regional teams in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee multiple consumer product categories and/or subcategories.
• Support licensing plans covering category strategy, contract ownership, licensee management and annual operating plans.
• Establish and meet or exceed revenue plans for consumer product brands and categories.
• Guide Franchise, Product Development and Approvals teams so that sales and creative materials support commercial needs and drive incremental revenue.
• Analyze business opportunities, recommend consolidations, define category goals and coordinate cross-category programs and launches with retail development.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, conduct whitespace analysis, monitor industry trends and collect consumer insights.
• Guide creative and franchise marketing teams on campaign prioritization and launch activation.
• Analyze quarterly licensee forecasts, evaluate potential new licensees and direct the review of existing partnerships.
• Develop team members' careers and foster a collaborative, inclusive, growth-oriented culture.

Required profile

• 8+ years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of the licensing industry and thorough understanding of licensee and partner structures and objectives.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and research skills, and effective project management and planning skills.
• Ability to build relationships in a highly matrixed organization and strong communication skills.
• In-office presence following Mattel's current policy.

What we offer

• Stated pay range of $126,000 to $158,000 annually, depending on location, skills and experience.
