Senior Desk Officer (Counterintelligence)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Senior Desk Officer to support its U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) contract. The position is based in the Washington, D.C. area and involves overseeing field investigative activities and liaising with law enforcement agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Daily case management oversight of all field investigative activities.
• Liaise with USIC, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies.
• Recommend proactive investigative initiatives within IN and across the Intelligence Community.
• Develop and set counterintelligence investigative priorities and manage adversary-specific programs.
• Support the full spectrum of the CI program and work with the FBI and USIC on ongoing espionage, terrorism or related investigations at responsible facilities.
• Use raw and finished intelligence reports.

Required profile

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; an advanced degree in a relevant technical field is desirable.
• At least 10 years of experience in counterintelligence and espionage case management, including supervising agents, either civil service or military.
• Experience as a primary case agent in counterintelligence at DOE, the FBI or the DOD.
• Knowledge of geographic subject matter expertise and of the full spectrum of CI activities.
• Excellent oral and written communication, conflict resolution and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Required skills

• CI databases for recordkeeping and data mining.
• Functional computer literacy and proficiency in common computer and network applications.
