Senior Data Scientist II – AI-driven Legal Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist II to lead the design and validation of agentic AI‑driven product capabilities for the legal domain. You will shape what to build and why, applying machine‑learning, NLP, and large language models to complex legal workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement NLP, LLM, and generative AI approaches such as RAG and advanced prompting.
• Define agentic workflows and multi‑step reasoning strategies for legal tasks.
• Design hybrid search (semantic + lexical) retrieval strategies and evaluation metrics.
• Analyze large‑scale legal datasets to extract insights and improve model performance.
• Establish best practices for model evaluation, validation, and benchmarking.
• Translate experimental results into clear product recommendations and business impact.
• Collaborate with product managers, legal experts, and engineers to align solutions with user needs.
• Mentor team members and provide technical leadership.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science).
• Strong experience in machine learning, NLP, and LLM‑based modeling.
• Proven track record designing and running experiments, including model evaluation and iteration.
• Excellent coding skills, particularly in Python.
