Senior Data Product Manager

About the role

FanDuel is seeking a Senior Data Product Manager to own the Core Data Infrastructure (CDI) within its centralized Data Products team. This high‑visibility role drives product direction across multiple engineering verticals and ensures data reliability, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Own the CDI product roadmap end‑to‑end, translating a large technical backlog into a focused, prioritized plan.
• Partner with engineering leadership across Data Tooling, Databricks Platform, Data Platform Customer Success, and Data Security to shift planning from engineering‑led to product‑led.
• Drive platform cost governance and FinOps discipline, managing tooling such as the internal Cost Estimator.
• Own data governance, security, and compliance commitments, including SOX controls, ABAC, and Unity Catalog governance.
• Lead the self‑service vision for Stargate and internal data tooling, growing adoption and reducing support‑ticket load.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product management experience shipping infrastructure, platform, or developer‑tooling products, preferably in data or ML platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; Master’s a plus.
• Experience with modern lakehouse and orchestration technologies such as Databricks and Apache Airflow.
• Working knowledge of data governance and access‑control models (Unity Catalog, ABAC) and experience in regulated environments (SOX).
• Proven ability to own cost or FinOps workstreams for data or cloud platforms.
