Senior Counsel, Legal eDiscovery

About the role

This senior position provides strategic and practical eDiscovery guidance to a global financial services organization. Working alongside the Bank’s Litigation, Regulatory Enforcement, and HR Legal teams, you will shape the discovery process from early case assessment through data collection, review, and production.

Key responsibilities

• Advise attorneys on eDiscovery legal requirements, best practices, and technology solutions across all phases of discovery.
• Collaborate with the Bank’s Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) function to define data preservation and collection strategies.
• Partner with outside counsel and external eDiscovery service providers to ensure efficient collection, search, review, and production, including AI‑driven tools.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing and contracts, and develop internal playbooks and best‑practice guidelines.
• Support cross‑functional teams on data‑related regulatory and litigation matters worldwide.

Required profile

• Organized self‑starter with strong judgment and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player who can work effectively with legal, technology, and external partners.
• Extensive experience in eDiscovery within a large, complex organization, preferably in the financial services sector.
