Senior Corporate Philanthropy Officer

About the role

The Senior Corporate Philanthropy Officer leads Skirball’s corporate giving program, building and stewarding a portfolio of corporate partners across sponsorship, cause marketing, and philanthropic giving. This high‑visibility position works closely with senior leadership to secure revenue for exhibitions, programs, and the capital campaign.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow the tiered corporate partnership program (Visionary, Advocate, Patron), including benefit structuring, pricing, and renewal strategy.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate prospects across entertainment, finance, technology and other sectors relevant to Los Angeles.
• Maintain a pipeline of prospects, track moves‑management, and forecast revenue against annual and campaign goals.
• Develop partnership proposals, sponsorship decks, and impact reports tailored to corporate funders.
• Coordinate with Hospitality, Marketing, Education, Museum, and Programs teams to deliver sponsorship benefits.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in corporate development, sponsorship sales, or corporate partnerships, preferably in a nonprofit or cultural institution.
• Proven success closing five‑ and six‑figure corporate partnerships.
• Strong relationship‑management skills with corporate giving committees and executive stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including proposal writing and presentations.
• Familiarity with the Los Angeles corporate and philanthropic landscape is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with donor databases (e.g., Altru) and CRM‑based pipeline management.
• Experience designing tiered sponsorship or membership programs.
