Senior Cook – Full‑Time

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking an experienced Senior Cook to join its culinary team at the UHealth Tower. You will work variable shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to ensure high‑quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, chop, store, and handle all ingredients safely.
• Measure, mix, and season menu items according to established standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test foods for proper cooking and portion servings accurately.
• Serve food in appropriate portions and receptacles.
• Maintain cleanliness of cooking areas, equipment, and kitchen surfaces.
• Wash and sort flatware, serving dishes, china, and glasses.
• Monitor and regulate appliance temperatures.
• Follow university policies and safeguard assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant culinary experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and early mornings.
