Senior Construction Representative – Hendersonville, TN

About the role

The Senior Construction Representative will provide quality assurance, inspection, and contract compliance services for the Old Hickory Turbine Generator Rehabilitation Project, a federally funded construction effort. This role involves independent on‑site inspections, monitoring contractor performance, and documenting daily activities in the USACE Resident Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site inspections of complex civil construction activities and review contractor reports, test results, and daily quality control documentation.
• Verify that work complies with the construction schedule, plans, specifications, EM 385‑1‑1, OSHA regulations, and other contract requirements.
• Inspect materials, installations, and testing; work with the contractor to correct deficiencies and evaluate alternative construction methods.
• Provide daily quality assurance inspections, follow‑up inspections, and surveillance of the contractor’s Quality Control Program.
• Enter inspection findings and deficiencies into the USACE Resident Management System within 24 hours.
• Monitor the contractor’s deficiency tracking procedures to ensure corrective actions are documented and auditable.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to pass a federal background review and drug screening.
• Experience inspecting complex civil construction projects and interpreting contract documents.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the USACE Resident Management System (RMS).
• Knowledge of EM 385‑1‑1 construction standards and OSHA safety regulations.
