Senior Community Manager – Washington, DC

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Senior Community Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of two or more multifamily properties in the Washington, DC area. You will lead on‑site teams, manage financial performance, and ensure compliance with all relevant housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, staff, and resources for assigned properties to meet budgeted financial and operational goals.
• Develop and monitor property budgets, analyze financial statements, and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Set rent rates, collect rent and fees, process bank deposits, and ensure timely posting of payments.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and coordinate with accounting and owners.
• Control expenditures within approved budgets and manage petty cash.
• Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, renewals, inspections, evictions, and collection of late fees.
• Analyze market and economic trends to implement short‑ and long‑term marketing and leasing strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multiple multifamily properties.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other housing regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to meet revenue targets and control operating expenses.
• Excellent analytical skills for budgeting, financial reporting, and market analysis.
