Senior Clinical Development Scientist / Medical Safety Manager

About the role

The Senior Clinical Development Scientist / Medical Safety Manager for Oral Healthcare supports clinical evidence strategy and medical safety throughout the product lifecycle, evaluating clinical and post‑market data, maintaining scientific rigor, and identifying potential safety risks.

Key responsibilities

• Support clinical evidence generation and medical safety across the product lifecycle.
• Analyze clinical trial protocols and ensure data integrity and scientific rigor.
• Evaluate safety information from clinical studies, post‑market surveillance, literature reviews and real‑world data.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on new product introduction, risk‑benefit analyses and regulatory documentation.
• Translate clinical and safety findings into clear scientific communications for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in the medical device industry, preferably in oral healthcare or dentistry.
• Doctoral degree in Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, or a PhD in a relevant scientific field.
• Strong knowledge of medical‑device standards and regulations (ISO, IEC, etc.).
• Proven ability to conduct health‑hazard evaluations, issue impact assessments and risk‑benefit analyses.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and related medical‑device quality standards.
• Familiarity with IEC 60601 safety standards.
• Experience with health‑hazard evaluations and issue impact assessments.
• Competence in performing risk‑benefit analyses for medical devices.
