Systems Test Engineer – Bothell, WA

About the role

As a Systems Test Engineer in Bothell, WA, you will join Philips' Systems Engineering and Testing organization, reporting to the Manager of Prototyping, Test, and Verification. You will conduct testing and verification activities, develop new testing methods, and help turn engineering concepts into practical, testable solutions for oral healthcare devices.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze system testing requirements and create comprehensive test plans that meet regulatory and company standards.
• Execute system tests, document results, and investigate any deviations or anomalies.
• Perform complex testing and measurement activities for early‑stage or unstable processes in collaboration with product development teams.
• Evaluate test outcomes, produce detailed reports, and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Support project teams with troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define test objectives, scope, and deliverables aligned with project timelines.
• Develop and optimize new test methods, create benchtop setups, and conduct measurement system analyses.
• Create and maintain testing documentation, including schematics, setup diagrams, and instructions.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in product development testing and verification, preferably in a hands‑on prototype environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and familiarity with problem‑solving tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with medical device testing (ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820) is a plus.
• Ability to work five days per week in a laboratory setting and collaborate globally with teams in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
