Senior Claims Representative – Casualty (Hybrid)

About the role

Join MAPFRE's Claims Team as a Senior Claims Representative handling automobile casualty losses, primarily moderate‑severity bodily injury and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims. This hybrid position blends office work with remote flexibility while requiring deep knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply personal and commercial auto policies across multiple jurisdictions.
• Screen new losses to determine coverage exposures and investigate liability.
• Evaluate claim values, negotiate settlements, and issue timely payments.
• Manage litigation or arbitration aspects of claims when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the adjustment process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional knowledge, or an associate’s degree with 4–6 years of experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of claims adjusting experience.
• Completion of the Casualty Claims Training Program.
• Insurance‑industry education or related certifications preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with medical providers, customers, and attorneys.
• Excellent telephone customer‑service skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
