Senior Business Manager

About the role

MANTECH, a defense contractor founded in 1968 and a trusted partner to the Department of Defense, is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Business Manager for its Doral, Florida office. The position is full time and onsite, and requires an active Top Secret security clearance and eligibility for a TS/SCI clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Run all business operations and establish and track task order requirements and deliverables.
• Oversee personnel onboarding, project budget management, project scheduling (IMS) and program procurement activities.
• Take part in organizational strategic planning and financial planning meetings and activities.
• Lead monitoring and evaluation efforts to assess and track contract and project performance.
• Ensure project requirements are clearly defined and captured in documents such as the Statement of Work (SOW).
• Provide leadership for program life cycle management and align the procurement strategy with the project schedule and budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in project management, Business Administration or a related field with 7+ years of relevant Business Manager experience, or a master's degree with 5+ years, or an associate degree with 9+ years, or a high school diploma with 11+ years.
• Proven experience in budget management, human resources, general business functions and government contracting.
• Ability to lead teams, set and track goals, onboard new employees and handle day-to-day business functions.
• Ability to respond to government inquiries, address contractual and programmatic issues and manage deliverables.
• Experience hiring, supervising and mentoring project teams and subordinate staff.
• Active Top Secret clearance and eligibility for a TS/SCI clearance.
• Able to remain seated 50% of the time, moving occasionally within the office.

Preferred qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting AAS/FEDSIM programs.
• MBA, Project Management or related master's degree.
• PMP certification or Certified Government Contracting Manager (CGCM).
• Certification, experience or training in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22301:2019 and ISO 31000:2018.
• Experience at a DoD Combatant Command or component is desired.
