About the role

- Work with data engineers and SMEs to define business rules, resolve gaps, validate assumptions and support development planning
- Coordinate validation of migrated data products (tables, dimensions, facts, semantic models, reports) using reconciliation, testing and defect tracking
- Set up data quality, validation, parity reporting and monitoring solutions in Power BI or similar tools
- Document governance, security and compliance needs: data classifications, PII, compensation data, role-based access, row-level security, data masking, retention, lineage and audit
- Lead user acceptance testing, including test planning, scripts, readiness assessments, sign-off and post-migration validation
- Act as the main liaison between business and technical teams, managing requirement changes and risks
Required profile
- 5+ years of business analysis experience on data, analytics, BI or data warehouse projects for HR, Finance, Accounting, Payroll or similar controlled domains
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, mathematics, finance, accounting, HR, data analytics or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work with sensitive HR, compensation, payroll, financial or accounting data and to keep it confidential
- Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
Required skills
- Intermediate to advanced querying and analysis with T-SQL, SQL Server tools and Excel
- Dimensional modeling, semantic models, reporting layers, measures, KPIs, hierarchies and data lineage
- Data validation, reconciliation, defect triage, UAT and stakeholder sign-off
- Preferred: hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI, medallion architecture and cloud data platform migrations
- Preferred: familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Visio, Lucidchart, Azure DevOps and Jira
