Senior Backend Engineer – Infrastructure

About the role

The ClickPipes Platform drives growth by onboarding and integrating data from diverse sources into ClickHouse at petabyte scale. As a Senior Backend Engineer you will work autonomously on high‑velocity, cloud‑native systems, shaping the infrastructure that powers real‑time data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance and scale our high‑performance data onboarding platform to handle increasing real‑time data volumes.
• Own and evolve infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (AWS, with expansion to GCP and Azure).
• Improve deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational processes.
• Drive technical discussions and influence architectural decisions for scalability and resilience.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to ensure system reliability and respond to production incidents.
• Continuously refine systems based on operational metrics, customer feedback, and business requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs.
• Excellent communication and cross‑team collaboration skills.
• Proven production debugging abilities in fast‑paced environments.
• Ability to work autonomously with high ownership.
• Founder‑mindset focused on impact and measurable results.

Required skills

• Terraform (or comparable IaC tool)
• Cloud‑native architecture
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Distributed systems knowledge
