Senior Associate, Investment Asset Management

About the role

Greystar's Asset Management team drives the strategy and business plan execution of a large portfolio of institutional-quality multifamily properties, with a focus on value-add execution and investor returns. The Senior Associate, Investment Asset Management leads the execution, development and implementation of strategies and programs that improve financial and operational performance, combining operational results and market data to find and drive value across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Work with partners across acquisitions, property operations, portfolio management, capital projects and accounting to drive investment performance of the owned asset portfolio.
• Create detailed pro-forma and Excel-based financial models, gather and analyze market data, and prepare narrative memoranda, reports and market summaries.
• Lead investment committee memos, financing and disposition recommendations, and present findings to senior team members.
• Maintain relationships with brokers, institutional and equity partners, lenders and regional property managers, acting as a primary contact for transaction communications.
• Develop documentation on key findings affecting asset returns, and take part in dispositions, including broker coordination, due diligence and valuation analysis.
• Set timelines for transaction tasks, track comparable sales and competitive deliveries, and lead process improvement initiatives, including rent structure and leasing velocity reviews.
• Support business leaders with data-driven recommendations, monitor assets in the assigned region, and guide or review junior team members' work.
• Take part in annual asset-level business plans (operating budgets, market analysis, tax forecasts, disposition strategy) and coordinate with consultants on real estate tax appeals.
