Senior Architect – Digital Ecosystem

Walmart Global Tech is seeking a Senior Architect to shape the technical direction of its digital ecosystem. You will work on high‑impact solutions that serve millions of customers, collaborating with engineering teams in a dynamic, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the evolution of Walmart’s digital ecosystem with a holistic technical vision aligned to corporate strategy.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and evolve solutions across systems, services, and domains.
• Support the design of future‑state (C3/C4) architectures, ensuring scalability and long‑term sustainability.
• Document architectural decisions, trade‑offs, and standards to enable consistent technical choices.
• Partner with other architects to align tactical decisions with broader architectural principles.
• Coordinate technical initiatives, set clear goals, and track progress with stakeholders.
• Identify improvement opportunities and promote continuous learning across teams.
• Mentor and develop associates through coaching, feedback, and career guidance.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and diverse team environment.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in software development, software architecture, or site reliability engineering.
• Advanced English proficiency (fluent preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with modern software architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.
• Experience with design patterns, domain‑driven design, and evolutionary architectures.
• Comfort working in complex, cross‑functional environments.
