Senior Analyst, Visual Merchandising

About the role

The Home Depot is investing in the customer experience inside its stores and is looking for a Senior Analyst, Visual Merchandising. The role identifies opportunities to drive sales, builds business cases for them and leads the execution of small-to-medium projects, while generating insights and reporting for customer-focused innovations. It sits within the Store Support Center and reports to the Sr. Manager Visual Merchandising.

Key responsibilities

• Project planning and management (about 35%): develop project plans and manage cross-functional work groups, proactively identifying obstacles and solutions with the manager.
• Measurement and reporting (about 30%): measure and report on in-store experience innovation programs to store associates, managers and executives, and generate customer insights and recommendations.
• New content ideation (about 15%): imagine and advocate for new ways to solve existing and new customer pain points.
• Communication and training (about 10%): share project progress and risks with store associates, store management and Store Support Center management.
• Product management (about 10%): define, document and articulate needs, objectives, scope and business requirements, and recommend execution strategies.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Typically a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
• At least 2 years of work experience.
• Preferred: working knowledge of Microsoft Office and presentation software such as PowerPoint.

Required skills

• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex ideas simply to diverse audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across functions, negotiate, handle complaints and resolve disputes internally and externally.
