Senior AI Product Owner - VP

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Senior AI Product Owner - VP in its Product Development & Management area, based in Whippany, NJ or Wilmington, DE. The role drives the launch and evolution of the Contact Center servicing experience, shaping agent and customer experiences through automation, AI and the bank's strategic toolsets. It is a permanent position with a salary of $155,000 to $200,000.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and prioritise product and customer requirements, define product vision and ensure successful delivery and ongoing performance.
• Own the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, working with product owners to drive change objectives.
• Lead cross-functional alignment with marketing, engineering, operations and sales, and balance short-term and long-term goals.
• Oversee product risk management and maintain alignment between product management and control functions.
• Deliver product goals and performance, using data-driven analysis to adjust strategy and optimise outcomes.
• Drive a customer-first approach, embedding customer insights, feedback and pain points into product decisions.
• As a Vice President, contribute to or set strategy, plan resources, budgets and policies, and advise stakeholders including functional leadership and senior management.

Required profile

• Familiarity with deploying AI, LLMs and Agentic Agents (Agentic VP).
• Fluency in the AI/ML stack, scaling and guardrails.
• Product owner experience: prioritising backlogs, drafting user stories, planning and leading scrum teams.
• Customer-centric mindset, with familiarity with journey mapping, channel experience and personalisation.
• Outcome-based mindset, defining OKRs and KPIs for customer success.
• Valued: contact center or credit card experience, and knowledge of Web, Apps, Salesforce, Pega, AWS Connect, Chat or IVR.
