Senior AI Engineer

About the role

Ryan is hiring a Senior AI Engineer in Dallas. You will design, develop and deliver robust, scalable and secure AI-driven software systems, owning complex components and leading critical feature implementation. The role bridges high-level design and detailed implementation, working with cross-functional teams so that AI solutions meet user needs, business goals, safety expectations and performance constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business needs into agentic workflows and production-ready full-stack components (APIs, services, UIs)
• Design and document specifications for mid-to-large components, implement agent orchestration, tool use and integrations, and conduct code reviews focused on performance, scalability and maintainability
• Integrate enterprise applications via APIs and middleware, assess feasibility and support interoperability testing
• Deploy software in Azure, configure deployment scripts, and follow infrastructure-as-code practices
• Define evaluation strategies for agents (golden datasets, regression suites), instrument tool-call traces and latency/cost metrics, and run unit, integration and automated tests
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines
• Help turn high-level architecture into low-level designs and maintain design artifacts
• Work with product managers, UX designers and business stakeholders, plan features, and mentor junior engineers

Required profile

• 6-9 years of software engineering experience building production-grade systems
• Demonstrated experience shipping AI/LLM-powered features (agents, RAG, tool calling, workflow automation) into real user workflows
• End-to-end ownership of features, risk anticipation and clear communication across teams
• Valid driver's license required

Required skills

• Agentic systems with LLMs and MCPs, using frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, Microsoft Semantic Kernel, Microsoft AutoGen or CrewAI
• Modern full-stack development.NET with ReactJS is a plus
• SQL/NoSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes and Azure cloud-native services
• CI/CD, containers and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
