Senior AI Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineering
NVIDIA · Santa Clara
Job description
About the role
NVIDIA is looking for a Senior AI Engineer and Forward Deployed Engineer to join the AI & Automation Supply Chain Business Transformations team in NVIDIA Operations. You will build decision intelligence for the company's supply chain on Palantir Foundry and AIP, working directly with planners and supply-chain experts to turn their decision logic into production applications: governed data pipelines, Ontology models, analytical functions, operational interfaces and AI agents.
Key responsibilities
- Build and own production supply-chain applications on Palantir Foundry and AIP, including data pipelines, Ontology models, analytical functions, operational interfaces (Workshop and OSDK) and controlled actions.
- Turn business rules, constraints and exception procedures into documented, versioned and testable software with planners and experts.
- Combine analytical methods, optimization and language models to support operational decisions.
- Own automated testing and validation of code, data pipelines, business rules and agent workflows, and set acceptance criteria with domain experts.
- Use AI coding tools responsibly, reviewing generated code and validating assumptions.
- Build evaluation datasets, test edge cases and define agent autonomy boundaries, human-in-the-loop workflows and escalation strategies.
- Measure operational results such as decision cycle time, manual effort, exception resolution and decision quality.
- Capture requirements, write user stories, lead technical design reviews, run integration testing and support UAT and hyper care.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ years of experience in software architecture, systems design or enterprise platform engineering.
- Proven ability to implement complex business rules and explain how their correctness was established.
- Ability to work directly with operational users and deliver maintainable software.
Required skills
- Demonstrated hands-on production delivery on Palantir Foundry and AIP, including Ontology design, Workshop/OSDK, AIP Logic and Functions, and Data Connection sources.
- Knowledge of Foundry governance and release management (projects, roles, markings, branching, environment promotion).
- Strong Python and SQL, integrating ERP, planning and ITSM systems via APIs, data connectors or custom services.
- Automated testing, debugging and release practices, including validation of AI-assisted development and LLM-based workflows.
- Experience integrating and evaluating language models, including open models such as NVIDIA Nemotron.
- Preferred: supply-chain or operations research experience, constraint optimization, TypeScript, agentic frameworks (RAG, multi-agent orchestration, vector search), NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails, Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
What we offer
- Expected base salary of 200,000 USD to 322,000 USD depending on location and experience.
- Eligibility for equity and benefits.
