Senior Accounting Manager – Finance Leadership

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing multi‑unit restaurant franchise in the United States, is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the finance function for one of its operating divisions. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, produce GAAP‑compliant financial statements and drive automation across the accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close cycles with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Develop and maintain internal reporting packages for senior leadership.
• Support the annual audit and prepare audit schedules.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Design, implement and enforce internal controls and maintain the chart of accounts.
• Lead implementation and optimisation of accounting and close automation tools.
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and treasury coordination.
• Coordinate federal, state and local tax compliance with external advisors.
• Supervise, mentor and develop an international accounting team of 2‑5 direct reports.
