Senior Accountant – Waggaman

About the role

CF Industries is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Waggaman location. The role is responsible for driving the monthly financial close, preparing key performance reports, and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and input journal entries to support the monthly financial close.
• Produce month‑end financial statements and KPI reports.
• Maintain documentation for Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Assist internal and external audits and prepare the annual budget.
• Conduct spare‑parts review and generate ad‑hoc reports for corporate and plant leadership.
• Participate in goal‑setting and safety‑leadership activities.
• Communicate effectively across finance, operations, and other departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Five to seven years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
