Senior Accountant - US Finance & Compliance

About the role

Home Solutions is a licensed New York home care agency with offices in Queens, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany and Watertown, plus an affiliated infusion clinic. It is looking for a Senior Accountant to own the books and financial compliance for four related US companies, reporting directly to the CFO. This is a hands-on role with no direct reports, and a large part of the job is maintaining and improving AI finance workflows such as bank and card feeds, payroll imports, AI-assisted reconciliations and reporting automations.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly close and reconciliations using Sage Intacct, QuickBooks and ADP
• Maintain and expand AI and automation workflows (Claude, Zapier, databases, scripts, APIs)
• Handle the compliance and reporting calendar: payroll, benefits, Medicaid and grant filings
• Produce weekly payables and receivables reporting
• Respond to CPA, auditor and lender requests
• Fix or automate manual processes when they break down

Required profile

• 4+ years of month-end close for US businesses
• Fluent written English
• Owns deadlines without reminders
• Healthcare experience is a plus

Required skills

• QuickBooks and/or Sage Intacct experience
• Hands-on AI and automation experience: building or maintaining workflows, not just using chatbots
