Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing organization’s accounting team. The role provides broad exposure to financial reporting, month‑end close, operational accounting, and business partnering, with high visibility to senior leadership and strong opportunities for long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Perform variance analysis and communicate key business drivers to management.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Review balance‑sheet accounts and maintain supporting documentation.
• Support external audits and coordinate auditor requests.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives and internal‑control enhancements.
• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with business leaders and cross‑functional teams on accounting and reporting matters.
• Support special projects and ad‑hoc analysis as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably combining public‑accounting and industry exposure.
• Big 4 or large regional public‑accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Actively pursuing CPA certification or holding a CPA license (preferred).
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial‑statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
