Senior Accountant

About the role

Our client, a growing national organization, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. You will play a key role in financial reporting, month‑end close, process improvements, and supporting strategic financial initiatives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the monthly accounting close process and financial reporting activities.
• Prepare and maintain general accounting records and reconciliations.
• Assist with financial analysis and reporting.
• Ensure accounting activities comply with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support audit requests and maintain accurate financial documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support business and financial objectives.
• Participate in system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other finance‑related projects.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA designation or CPA‑track is a plus.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or corporate accounting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with financial reporting and general ledger accounting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
