Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Canary Technologies' financial reporting. This high‑impact position supports month‑end close, billing, revenue processes, and GAAP compliance in a fast‑growing hospitality‑tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, meeting all deadlines.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed variance analyses.
• Own critical balance‑sheet and P&L areas such as revenue, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and payroll accounting.
• Support annual financial statement audits, tax filings, and other compliance deliverables.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, and other teams to ensure complete and consistent financial information.
• Identify and implement automation or process‑streamlining opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA‑track preferred.
• 4–6+ years of accounting experience, ideally a mix of public accounting and private industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, billing processes, and overall accounting operations.
• Hands‑on experience with Maxio (or a comparable revenue/billing system).
• Advanced Excel/Sheets skills; experience with modern ERP systems such as NetSuite is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.

• Base salary range $105,000‑$120,000
