Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant supports the Corporate Controller by maintaining the general ledger for operating companies and preparing financial reports. This role tracks the organization’s financial performance, ensures accurate record‑keeping, and contributes to a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers and perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Prepare periodic financial reports as directed by the Controller or CFO.
• Reconcile bank accounts, verify deposits, and resolve banking inquiries.
• Record transactions related to construction loans, home closings, and land acquisitions.
• Assist external auditors with documentation and account details for annual audits.
• Collaborate with software vendors to maintain and enhance accounting systems.
• Uphold confidentiality of all sensitive corporate information.
• Promote a professional, team‑oriented work environment and facilitate cross‑department communication.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance industry knowledge and software proficiency.
• Adhere to departmental procedures, company policies, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting or related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software systems.
