Senior Account Executive, Client Leadership

About the role

Mars United Commerce, a global commerce marketing practice of Publicis Groupe, is looking for a Senior Account Executive to work on the project management and activation of a major CPG client's shopper marketing programs through regional grocery retailers, and to maintain and manage key brand and retailer initiatives. This is not a sales role. Candidates must live within commuting distance of the Mars United Commerce Chicago, Cincinnati or Detroit location.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain productive interaction with support departments to keep projects moving forward
• Lead, compile and author recaps
• Build knowledge of the assigned brand or retailer's positioning, goals, consumer targets and marketing strategies
• Tactically support programs: timelines, trafficking and review of materials, cost estimation, etc.
• Manage projects independently from start to finish
• Manage budgets and complete programs within estimated hours and costs
• Manage electronic job jackets and billing information
• Develop proficiency in Mars internal workflow and financial management systems
• Update team reports, including weekly status and marketplace assessments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, business or a related field
• At least 3 years of shopper marketing or advertising experience, preferably agency experience
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage time, meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
• Detail-oriented, proactive, dependable and eager to learn the Shopper Marketing discipline
• Effective interpersonal skills across functions
