Security Operations Center Analyst

About the role

Lewis Energy Group, a vertically integrated exploration and production company and leading natural gas producer in South Texas, is hiring a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst in San Antonio. You will monitor security systems and employee locations in real time, triage alarms and incidents, support international travel security and contribute to protective intelligence reporting. The role protects LEG team members and organizational assets; a shift may be staffed by a single analyst, so independent judgment and attention to detail are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV (Wisenet Wave), access control (Brivo), alarm systems and the Restrata platform for employee location and SOS alerts across U.S. and international sites.
• Triage alarms, calls and notifications, dispatch emergency services when needed and escalate incidents to leadership per SOC procedures.
• Support journey management for personnel traveling in Mexico and other international locations, including traveler check-ins and pool vehicle coordination.
• Monitor threat intelligence, news and social media for emerging risks and contribute to the Protective Intelligence Report.
• Perform daily system and camera checks, troubleshoot security systems and process access control requests.
• Support coordinated responses to medical emergencies, active threats, protests, severe weather and other life-safety events.
• Maintain incident records and a thorough shift pass-down log, and help onboard new sites into SOC monitoring.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams, partners and outside agencies while keeping strict confidentiality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in security operations, a SOC or monitoring center, dispatch, law enforcement, military or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background, drug and motor vehicle record screening.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, and to provide holdover coverage.
• Preferred: bilingual English and Spanish, and a degree in criminal justice, security, emergency management or a related field.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CCTV, access control and alarm monitoring systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: experience with Restrata, Brivo, Wisenet Wave or similar platforms, and with travel risk or intelligence reporting.
