Security Officer - Multi-Building Residential Patrol

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for multi-building residential patrol in Staten Island, NY. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will monitor assigned areas, carry out routine patrols, stay visible to deter incidents and provide customer service to residents and visitors. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors and property staff by carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns and critical situations calmly, escalating them according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas and property perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor and delivery activity in line with residential property policies.
• Document patrols, incidents and observations accurately and share relevant information with site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Required profile

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing requirements may be needed before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
